Our Story
Commerce Collision was founded by Marvin Dabish with one goal: give Commerce Township a collision shop that answers to the customer, not the insurance company. Today, our team brings 30 years of hands-on collision repair experience to every job.
A lot of shops have Direct Repair Program (DRP) contracts with insurers. Those contracts come with price restrictions that push shops toward cheaper parts and faster cuts. We have no DRP contracts. We're fully independent, which means we can actually fight for the right repair instead of the cheapest one.
When you drop off your car, you're talking to the people who will fix it. No layers. No runaround.

Our shop lead, Sam, is a Michigan State Certified Master Auto Mechanic. He holds certifications across all categories, including Unitized Body Structural Repairs and Collision-Related Mechanical Repair.
Most shops have someone with a basic certification. Sam holds the top credential Michigan issues, across every repair category. He personally oversees structural work and mechanical realignment. Nobody down the street can say the same.
Equipped for Excellence
Good repair work requires the right equipment. Our shop at 3080 E Oakley Park Rd is set up for it:
- Computerized laser frame measurement systems
- Heavy-duty hydraulic pulling racks
- Nitrogen plastic welding stations
- Sealed downdraft paint and baking booths
- Advanced ADAS sensor recalibration computers
We repair all makes and models, including domestic trucks, imported luxury vehicles, and complex electric vehicles (EVs).
