- 2Take PhotosBefore vehicles are moved, take wide shots of the scene and close-ups of damage to all cars involved.
- 3Exercise Your Right to ChooseThe police or tow driver might suggest a shop. You are not obligated to use it. Tell them explicitly: "Tow it to Commerce Collision on Oakley Park Rd."
Towing FAQ
Who pays for the tow?
In most cases, if you have collision coverage or the other driver is at fault, the insurance company covers the towing and lot fees. We handle the paperwork.
Can I drop it off after hours?
Yes. If you arrange your own tow after hours, have them drop it in our lot and drop the keys in our secure box with a note containing your name and phone number.
What about a rental car?
Once your car is at our shop, we can help coordinate an Enterprise rental car to pick you up directly from our facility during business hours.
